Ghost Dog
Have you ever thought you saw something out of the corner of your eye and then when you turn your head around to look at it, you see it for that split second, fully, and can remember intricate details, yet it is gone?
You got it. That's what has happened to me recently.
I was just going about my usual daily routine, at night, opened the door in my house to my cellar and we also have a door that goes outside at this same entry point. I saw outside the door through the window, an animal. I shouted to my husband, "Hey there is an animal outside the door here!" I flipped on the outside light and saw it and then I put my face up against the window to look outside and it was gone!
I stared outside looking down to the ground to see if there were foot prints as it had just snowed and the ground was covered with fluffy white, sparkling snow. There were none!
My husband came running up the cellar stairs to see the "animal" but there were none to see. I said "I don't understand it. I swear I saw this dog standing my outside of the door here!" I said I could describe what it looked like even....even though I only saw it in that split second.
My husband left and I just stood there trying to decipher what had just happened. I was trying to logically put together what I thought I saw. Or more like, how could I see such an animal so quickly?
I saw a dog. I think it was a Grey Hound dog with lots of speckled brown spots all over. It was tall and it was just standing up close to the house or step to come in. It's tail was curled up and I want to say it had blue eyes. It was a very pretty dog and one that I have not ever seen in our neighborhood before. I felt like it was cold looking to come in as we have been experiencing frigid temperatures lately. The dog was a thin build much like the Grey Hounds.
So I had this image in my mind and no logical explanation why this dog would be here nor any physical evidence to back up what I said.
Still trying to logically explain this to myself mostly, I tried looking at the window in different angles to see if the light was playing tricks on me. Still nothing seemed to help me figure this out. So I let it be.
I decided somethings have no explanation and it's better to just accept it and move on.
Tell me if you have ever had such an experience? What do you think this means? Does it mean anything at all? Did I see a dog in spirit? I don't know but if it wants to come back to "visit" me, it's more than welcome to.
