Scammer or Healer?

Ask Sara is now open! Send your questions to sara@sarawiseman.com. I'll answer a question weekly. Plus call in to ASK SARA on CBS The Sky Radio on Wednesday, Oct 31 at 4 pm PST • 7 pm ET at 248.545. SOUL!

Ask Sara:
I  wanted your opinion on a "healing" I had. I am feeling kind of miffed I guess. Unsure. Confused. I'm embarrassed to share this really but I don't know who to turn to.

I met this man at a psychic fair who said he was an energy healer. I don't know how these things are supposed to go as I never had one before but he told me things that seem kind of off the wall. He told me that I have a statue in my home that has a demon attached to it. Long story short, he "exorcised it" his words, by asking the entity to leave and go to the divine and is asking I get rid of this supposed statue which he cannot describe other than having blue color on it.

The only thing I could think that is blue is a family heirloom from my grandmother.  I described it to him—he couldn’t describe it to me. Then he told me my grandmother was evil and I should never see her again.  He also told me that "I could sell the statue for you.” Sara, my grandmother is 92. She is very religious and as loving and gentle as can be.

I just wanted to know if he was for real or not? I guess I am probably answering my own questions.

Darlene

Dear Darlene;

Yep, you called it: this guy’s no healer—he’s a scammer!

Don’t be embarrassed—many folks have found themselves in these situations. One woman I know had a “psychic” tell her she needed to give her $12K and a dead chicken (to bury the money in) so that all her problems would go away. Needless to say, she didn’t do it!

Of course your “healer” wasn’t authentic—he’s just an expert manipulator of people who are in fear. Glad you didn’t fall for it!

Let’s all declare Halloween 2012 as the day that we become free from all superstitions and all old beliefs about “evil” and all people or ideas that promote negativity or fear!

When you own your own power, and when you learn how to make your own direct connection to the Divine/God/One/All, you are always free from fear,  superstition and misbelief.  Remember: fear is used to control.

Get rid of fear, connect to true Divine and become truly free. This is what I teach, and what we’ll be talking about on Ask Sara.

If you want to learn how to make a direct connection, you’ll find my audio course Be a Divine Conduit for Guides and Angels useful; it walks you through the process, step by step.

Much love,

SARA

A long. long time ago

A long. long time ago.....well not too long exactly, maybe 40 years now...I saw a solid black mass in the shape of a man in my bedroom as a child. Talk about freaking me out!!

So a long time ago like, 2 years ago I saw a black mist in my dining room passing by. My dog and I looked the same time and my dog barked at it. I said, yea, oh well, someone just passing through.

However, I want to ask you what does it mean to see a black solid form or a black misty form verses a white misty form or white translucent form/spirit? I mean ...is it just about color or is there a more significant meaning beyond all that? I always wondered that.

Then what happens if you have seen "spirit" in the human, here and now, view...or here and gone view....so how do you know the next time you are seeing someone, that they are in spirit form or physical here and now form? I mean how am I to tell the difference? I could be seeing spirits all around me every day and not even know it. Or is that the way it is supposed to be?

Yea; more questions for the beyond and back...let me know your thoughts. Email me: sacandagasun@yahoo.com

 Thanks! Shelley

Spirits Within

These are some more accounts of my past  "visitors", going back to last winter time.

Anyways, just now my door bell rang (again) and no one is here at all, "they" ring the front door bell which I have closed off for the winter and no one can come to it unless they climb the 5 ft snow bank out front or walk through the snow. It's been ringing more than it used to. I always say "just give me the message and stop scaring me when you do that", but now I am like OK, here we go again. It still makes me nervous but I never really know what the message is.

I keep getting the 111 thing...I've read  it means that my thoughts are manifesting and to remain focused as what I think will be...I hope so!

On this one night I saw a blue/white orb pass in front of the bathroom window at night...no cars on street. I checked. So bright it made me drop what I was doing, putting away towels and run to the kitchen door to see what was out there....nothing....then I ran to living room window to see out there....nothing....I just don't know.

When married to my first husband I saw his dad out in their yard in a red flannel shirt walking out back. He was deceased for years and I had never met him before. When I told this story, they said he used to wear that kind of shirt all the time.

12/27/11- I saw a young lady running in between the roads edge in between my neighbors side of her house. She had long, flowing, blonde hair and was wearing a light blue fitted jacket and blue jeans. It was a very windy day out. I thought this girl/lady was going after her garbage pail that might have blown away.

My neighbor was right in her driveway at the same moment in her car putting on her seat belt. I thought it was strange to not have the girl talk to her or my neighbor talk to her. I waited for the girl to come back
out of in between the houses but she never did. I thought it was my neighbor next door. I asked her and she said it was not her. So....I now question, how is it that I can see clear as day "something" that looks just like you or I? And if that is so...then I could be seeing "Spirit" all the time and not even know
it.

My neighbor is a psychic/medium and said she felt it was one of her "spirit guides". When she said that, she got a tingle up her spine and so did I at the same time which usually means that what we think is confirmed.

1-16-12- My husband Rocco says this during the day, "Hi Gramps! Happy Birthday! If you hear me, ring the doorbell!" And then he went off to work. My girlfriend was over visiting me to watch a movie with me. We were just into the movie and the doorbell rings. It was the carport side door bell this time. I go to the door, and no one is there that I can see. I know no one is at the front door because it's not shoveled out at all.
We kind of just look at one another bewildered. I tell her of that story, with Rocco. I said I will check outside and see if anyone is opening up their car as it has been said that when a person uses their electronic car door opener/starter, or people with wireless doorbell systems, could make it ring. I saw one car up the street in a driveway, running. Someone was out of the car in someones house and left the
car running. I checked all sides of the house, and no other cars were in sight. I don't know.

4/11/12- Is it paranormal when you and your dog both hear on que, someone touching the kitchen doorknob? The dog barks and I get up and no one is there at all. Hmmm....

So these are just a few more of the "normal" happenings in my home. What about you? Have you experienced something that cannot be explained? Tell me about it.

My Paranormal Experiences

I've had so many "interesting" things happen to me all my life. I think in part being able to witness such events is hereditary. My mother, father, sister, niece, grandmother and my daughter have all had our own share of stories to tell.

I'm not sure paranormal is even the right word to use really. Sometimes I feel like it is more of a spiritual connection to these entities or "people" to me.

I've thought about not writing about my experiences for fear of being judged by others but then thought, how can I be judged really when these are my experiences. No one else shared in these moments.

I like to think that I am intuitive. I have heard, seen, smelled and felt things out of the ordinary.

Age: 7 or 8- In my bedroom at night...got extremely frightened. Big, tall, black figure at the side of my bed, I could feel it standing there next to me looking at me. I was really scared. I crawled under my covers hoping it'd go away but it didn't. I peeked out of my covers and it was at the end of my bed looking up at me on my bed...I "imagined" I think, green eyes on it...it was a tall, wide or fat, black mass but tall like a person. I felt it was a man. I don't know why but I always called it "Big Bad John" after that song.  I stayed under my covers crying for a while till I couldn't breathe anymore and mustered up all my strength and went out in the hallway crying till my Mom heard me and told me I had a bad dream and put me back to bed. Never happened again.

For years and years as an adult, I've had repeated dreams of helicopters crashing. The dream comes in many different forms; always scary and dramatic, always very real feeling. There would always be a fear of death in the dream, and then I  always wake up before the deaths occur. Maybe that is normal for people to have recurring dreams like that? I don't know. I'm sure it means something in a dream dictionary somewhere. I should look it up.

I had a premonition. I dreamt the death event of my ex husbands grandfather. I dreamt it the very morning it actually unfolded as I had just dreamt it. Act for act...it played out. I told my then husband what I had dreamt as I was very upset feeling and then it happened just as soon as I got done explaining what I just saw in my dream. I know for some, this freaks them out to learn this. I don't have control over it. It just happens.

One time many, many years ago, I saw a man in Mohawk Furniture in Broadalbin, NY, while doing a maintenance check with my then husband...the mill was closed and we were the only people in the whole place. The man, he was bald and dressed in junkie clothes/work clothes in an area of the mill that was not in use at that time but used to be. I learned that this man used to work there and he died there somehow, stories always around about people seeing him. He just looked ordinary. He was just there.

While dating my current husband, Rocco, and he took me to St. Anthony's church in Schenectady,NY, where Rocco lit a remembrance candle for his mother. I felt a huge wave of ...like I wanted to cry.....and then I told Rocco his mother is here and that she was really proud of him. I don't know where that came from...but feeling was strong.

I had another premonition. I had a dream about the upcoming death of my husband, Rocco's Great Aunt Margherita. She came to me in my dream two days before her death to tell me to get Rocco to come to her. She was speaking in Italian but I knew what she was saying and I don't understand Italian. She was saying, "Rocco, come to see me. Rocco come to see me." I saw her in her bed, leaning over the edge of it, like she was in pain. She was looking towards what would have looked like where Rocco usually sat by her bed to visit her. She never spoke. She couldn't talk. They said she had Alzheimer's Disease and was frequently "not really there" or so they said. I wonder now. I didn't know this lady. I had only met her one time and she would just stare out to space in silence. I didn't tell my husband right away of the dream because I doubted myself. I just brushed off the dream as silliness and carried on. However, throughout the next day it was nagging at me to tell him anyways. And then she died the following day. I felt bad I didn't speak up sooner.

One evening I was up in my office working on my computer for hours. I was very engrossed in my work. Then out of the corner of my right eye I saw a man in a military uniform standing next to me. Khaki green fitted jacket with a red belt and a gold buckle in the center. Lots of buttons in front and up the front of the jacket, fitted pants, and boots. I saw no face. I just knew it was a man. He was just there, no words, no harm. On that occasion I could "feel" that it was a man. You know how sometimes you are working along with something and you think  you felt that someone was behind you standing? That is a kind of energy field. I can feel when energies change within a room. I was surprised by what I saw but at the same time I was very accepting of it. I didn't feel scared at all. I felt like this man was just watching me out of curiosity. The interesting thing about this incident was that later on about a year later or so, I learned from my neighbor who is a psychic medium, that she had a young lady visit her. She gave the name to me because this lady said it was her grandparents that used to live here at our house. The lady said she wondered about her grandfather who had passed on. She went on telling a story about how her grandfather was in the military and he was MIA for many years. She told of how her grandmother used to pace the house with worry, wondering and waiting for her husband to return home again. I never learned if he was found or not. I too had a reading done with my neighbor, the psychic. I told her about a man that I made up a name for, "George" I said, is what I named my military man who I saw here at my home. The psychic said, Shelley, that is not a made up name, that IS his name. I thought to myself how did I come across that name for him? It was just like it was planted in my head. The psychic said, yes, it was, because HE put it there for me. He put that thought in my mind as a message. It is such a subtle action to learn to listen to your intuition. I'm still learning.

However, in the following years, I'd see a figure pacing across my front lawn, over and over again. It was like he/it was watching over the house in a way I felt. I just would see it and accept it again as I felt no harm in it. I asked my neighbor the psychic what she thought of this during another reading I had with her. She said it is George, the military man. He is searching for his wife. You see, it had been some 25 years later, when the wife who lived at this house, seemed to close herself inside and draw the shades to be alone as she waited for her MIA husband to come home. As time went on, and the years flew by, the wife began going down hill health wise and she was removed from the home and put in a nursing home to be better taken care of.

I never saw the military man again inside my house but continued seeing him pacing outside my living room window. Sometimes I would just feel his presence in my home like he was watching me. At times that would become uncomfortable. My neighbor suggested I state, "George, go to the light" a few times to guide him "home". After I did that for a few times, the feeling of someone watching me was gone.

I will continue my paranormal stories with the next blog soon. What experiences do you want to share? Do you dare? I feel it is completely normal that we all have experiences one time or another that we feel that we cannot quite understand fully on this plane. It's ok. Acceptance helps. And then we learn.

Pain

by Shelley D. Brienza

As I sat watching Oprah's Life Class last week on TV I began taking notes. So many of the things she teaches on her show are things that can be applied to anyone's life.

This day she had Iyanla Vanzant speaking out to the audience. She talked about pain. She said pain stands for "Pay-Attention-Inward-Now"!

Throughout the class questions were asked and I thought those very questions can be asked of you and of myself.

What do you want? Sounds easy enough to answer but is it? I want a lot of things and some of those things I just don't really need. I just want them. I think wants are too many to list and not even important enough to list. It's like it's frivolous things. What do you think?

What is your vision? The vision they speak of is, what do you see for yourself? They talked about how one's vision is different from what idea you may have for your life. And that often people can "fall in love" with an "idea" and not the reality that a "vision" can bring. What do you envision for yourself? I know I have often "fallen in love" with my "ideas", only to have them not work out and become sad or disappointed. Now I see if I have a vision for myself then it is more likely to become a reality. I envision that I will continue to work hard to make my publication successful even though it is a hard process, the rewards are great.

What is your story? This question asks you what words can you use to describe what your life story really is? Is it, "I am a mom and have four kids and stay home to raise them?" Or is it, "I am a visionary who tried many routes to get to where I am today as a publisher?" I am a woman, whose life struggles created a more independent woman who goes against the grain to fulfill my own path for myself. I am a mother of two, a wife, a dreamer, a creative person, a compassionate woman, always curious. I am a publisher, author and blog writer. That more accurately describes me. So you can see how your story is.

And then some tips I learned were, "Love can fill your hole. Love being God. State the facts and tell the truth." And many of us have an "idea" or "picture" of what we think we want for our lives but we don't have a "vision" which is the reality of what something is.

If you start off talking like "I want this and this or that in my life," this is not a story. State the facts and the truth, that will be your true story. It's a learning process for us all; That is part of the journey.

Following my Intuition

Following my Intuition
By Shelley D. Brienza

Ok, here's the thing...I was writing all this to a guy who has caught my interest professionally and in a way that I’ve never really experienced before because of what he believes in or the way he thinks. It’s so new to me, yet it’s not. I don’t even know how to explain it in words and I am the writer. I’m going to leave it as it was an “intuition” thing I am going through.

I've been reading the Celestine Prophecy, by James Redfield and The 10th Insight, The 11th Insight, also by him and now following its workbook that accompanies all that. As I begin putting together some pieces of my own life with what I've learned in those books, I'm also reading a book called, "You Already Know What to Do" by Sharon Franquemont about following your intuition. That's why I am here talking to you (my readers) again...I am kind of going about this in blind faith that you will not be offended by my complete openness. Interesting. I tell some people I am a lost soul trying to find my way....and within the past year, have found these new paths to explore that are totally enlightening and positive and exciting and strange even. I'm a writer by nature I tell people. No formal training...just write from my heart and as I go along here exposing myself even further to the open (public), I am feeling "naked", I told someone recently.

I'm trying to work my way around FEAR. I recognized that FEAR is of my own doing/feeling and that I need to move beyond that, as beyond the feelings of pain and fear, lays a well of LOVE. I'm striving to reach that goal...maybe some of this makes sense to you or it doesn't. I guess it doesn't even matter because I needed to say it.

My point today of rambling on like is because of my reading these books for one, among other reasons opened me up to say I "felt" a need to and I am on a mission and I think those joining me in some capacity, as we share a like mindedness, are really on to something. “Something” is changing around us and in our environment. If you notice a change, and want to share it with me, I will publish your comments.

Challenge Your Courage

Challenge Your Courage

Until you make peace with the past it will continue to stain the rest of your life.

As an adult you have the opportunity to forgive and let go of the stains in your past that you knew as a child.

How do you say goodbye to a part of your life?

Nurture Your Natural Gifts

Nurture Your Natural Gifts

After writing in over 25 journals and diaries over the course of my life so far, I have decided to listen to my heart or inner self and become a writer professionally. I only had one college course under my belt for creative writing and the rest of my skill is pure me. I was born to write. It took me a few different paths to reach where I am today, a publisher of my own magazine.

You Have to Listen

You Have to Listen
by Shelley D.

I took a course once called, “Listen to Your Heart and Success Will Follow”. I think this course was a good lesson in learning how to listen to your inner voice. What does your heart say? Do you follow your heart’s desire? For me, if I don’t follow my heart or my gut feeling then I am left feeling depleted before I even begin a new path.  It’s like fighting with yourself, trying to force yourself to accept, what others either expect you to do or you think you should do as far as moving forward in your career or job choice.  I’ve tried many different roles in the job force but none have fulfilled me like writing does.

Providence

Providence
By Shelley D.

Providence
What is providence?  Providence means, the foreseeing care and guidance of God or nature over the creatures of the earth, or a manifestation of divine care or direction, a foresight or prudent management of resources.

Has it occurred in your lifetime? Do you believe things happen for a reason?  I’m beginning to think perhaps this has happened in my own life and maybe I didn’t even realize what was happening till now. Now I can reflect back on my life and the pieces seem to fall together or unfold in front me.

When I was 10 years old, my cat ran away. I found her lying on the side of the road dead one day as I was out riding my bicycle up and down the road I lived on. I was horrified to see my cat, named Tinkerbell, laying on the side of the road with her legs stretching out all in the same direction. I didn’t understand rigamortis back then. I thought to myself that she must have gotten hit by lightening and killed and it made her look that way. I was so sad my cat was gone. This is where I began my first writings. I took a small spiral notepad and wrote out all my sad feelings and confusion. I remember taping a piece of cat hair I found somewhere on a page in that notepad.  It was here that I began journaling my feelings. I drew my tear drops on those pages. I still have that very notepad today. That was over 35 years ago.

Welcome to In Tuit with Shelley

It's a catchy name don't you think? I think it describes pretty well what my intentions are going to be. I'm going to be "in to it" all...I'm going to write to you on many different topics of interest to myself and of those that I really think can help you. If they can't help you personally, then maybe you know someone a topic could help. It's that easy! So welcome I say! Welcome!
